Raising the Bar...Carousel Bar!

   The Hotel Monteleone has "raised the bar"...pun intended! One of our favorite go-to bars in the French Quarter is the Carousel Bar in the historic Hotel Monteleone on Rue Royal.

     Walking into the Carousel Bar this past weekend, I was blown away with the stunning renovations that had recently taken place. The Carousel's newer lounge addition enhancements include expansive windows along Rue Royal and a raised ceiling to add to the ambiance of the bar. There is also now a secondary stationery bar in the area previously occupied by the Hunt Club Grill.

     One of my favorite additions is the breathtaking and oh-so modern chandeliers that were added around the new space. The lighting is definitely a great asset. And you know, J & I love crystals...Bling!

     Immortalized in the writings of Ernest Hemingway among others, the revolving Carousel Bar is definitely part of New Orleans' history.

     In addition to the renovations, the Carousel Bar will feature live entertainment with some wonderful NOLA artists including Lena Prima, Eudora Evans, George French, and more.
